It all began on a girls' trip to California. Erin found herself wandering through a serene garden center, losing track of time. Little did she know, this moment would plant the seed for what would become The Garden Room in Mooresville, North Carolina.

Fast forward to June 2024—Erin and her husband, Mike, parents of four boys and nearing the empty nest phase, opened their family-run outdoor furniture store. While still a practicing mental health therapist, Erin craved a creative outlet to blend her love of the outdoors, design, and meaningful connections.

Located in a historic 1900s building on Main Street in the town where Erin and Mike have raised their family for 20 years, The Garden Room is a welcoming space that feels both inspiring and distinctly local.

“I knew I wanted a brick-and-mortar space,” Erin says. “When you’re investing in high-end outdoor furniture, you want to see it, feel it, and imagine it in your space.”

Inside The Garden Room, you'll find a curated mix of contemporary and traditional outdoor pieces—from sleek aluminum to classic teak and woven wicker.

Erin handpicks every item, ensuring quality and avoiding mass production. With brands like Dash & Albert and Barlow Tyrie, The Garden Room offers timeless style. Erin goes the extra mile for her customers—sourcing specific pieces, delivering locally, and hosting seasonal floral workshops.

I’d encourage you to visit this charming spot, take a wander, lose track of time, and plant the seed for your own inspirational journey.
