Since 2011, Tracy Self and her talented team at Just Dance LKN have been inspiring students through a shared passion for dance. Together, they’ve created a welcoming space where kids can discover their potential and grow with confidence.
Formerly known as Dancin’ Kids, Tracy continues the philosophy of building a big dance family that goes far beyond pirouettes and pliés. With a new location on Old Statesville Road, Just Dance welcomes dancers of all ages—from toddlers to teens, and soon, adults too.
The studio offers classes in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, musical theatre, tumbling, cheer, and competitive team training. Each instructor brings a unique expertise and energy, creating a space where students can explore different styles of dance and discover their passion.
Tracy has watched students achieve incredible milestones—competing in events, dancing as Carolina TopCats, Charlotte Honeybees, and even becoming instructors themselves. But it’s the small breakthroughs and daily moments of progress that keep Tracy inspired.
“When a dancer finally nails a skill, they’ve been struggling with—the joy on their face, that’s what it’s all about,” she says. “If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you.” A lesson learned in the studio, and one her students can carry far beyond the dance floor.
